Who are experts in the field of human rights in patient care?Dmytro GroismanDmytro Groisman is the Coordinator of the Vinnytsya Human Rights Group in Ukraine. He trained as a Medical Doctor (worked as a Clinical Pathologist) and also has University diploma in Law. He has worked for over ten years on human rights issues in Ukraine, including torture, refugees, and the death penalty. Dmytro started his human rights activity in 1993 as a leader of local group of Amnesty International in his city Vinnytsya in Southern-Western Ukraine, he later worked as death penalty abolition coordinator of Amnesty International Ukraine and first Head of Medical Professional network of Amnesty International Ukraine. Since 1999 Dmytro is heading local human rights NGO – Vinnytsya Human Rights Group which works in a field of refugee protection, torture combating, protection and promotion of human rights in Medicine, protection of sexual minorities against discrimination. Dmytro attended numerous human rights courses and trainings both locally and internationally, he regularly being hiring by the different agencies such as UNHCR, UNDP, Radio Free Europe (Radio Liberty), Human Rights House (Norway), Warsaw Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, OMCT, Amnesty International as an expert, analyst for different projects. |
